Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
A couple of errors crept into BMJ’s annual League Table of builders merchants, published in the January issue.
The 2016 figures quoted for Lawsons were, in fact, for Lawsons (Whetstone) a subsidiary company, instead of Lawsons Holdings. The correct figures should have been: turnover: £84.4m, pre-tax profit: £7.24m, employees: 408.
The 2028 employees figure quoted for Travis Perkins Group was the number of branches. The correct employees figure for the group in 2015 was 24670.
