Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Mike Beard, Encon Insulation’s Merchant Development Director, is the new chair of the BMF Insulation and Dry-Lining Forum.
Beard is a well-recognised figure in the industry with a career spanning 40 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as Chair of this Forum. Before joining Encon Insulation 10 years ago he worked with leading manufacturers including Superglass and Aggregate Industries. He is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants.
The BMF Insulation and Dry-Lining Forum, which meets twice a year, brings merchants and suppliers together to discuss current issues, explore future trends and identify opportunities.
Beard takes over the role from Andy Williamson of SIG UK, who helped establish the specialist product sector group when it launched in 2021.
Craig Jennings, recently appointed as BMF Regional Manager – Central, has taken on the Co-ordinator role for the Insulation sector, and will work closely with Mike to facilitate the bi-annual meetings.
