Chandlers reaches £28k appeal point

Independent Sussex builders merchant Chandlers Building Supplies has hit the halfway point in its Chandlers £50k Challenge charity appeal.
Having launched in 2013 the Chandlers £50k Challenge is aiming to raise £50,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in honour of employee Rob Sadler, a cystic fibrosis sufferer himself.

So far £28,000 has been raised through a combination of sponsored runs, football matches and charity golf days to barn dances, silent auctions and cricket matches.

Sadler said: “The support has been fantastic and we are delighted to have reached £28,000.”

Chandlers’ commercial director Richard Skinner, said: “A big thank you to everyone who has made a contribution to any of the fundraising activities that have taken place so far. Although we are focusing on raising money with our colleague Rob in mind, Cystic Fibrosis is a condition that affects the lives of families across the country, so any money raised goes to a great cause.”
