A cyclist sponsored by Southampton independent builders merchant Elliotts has won a gold medal in record-breaking style.
Dani King was one of the Team GB women’s team pursuit trio along with Laura Trott and Joanne Rowsell.
The crowd at the stunning Velodrome at the Olympic Park roared the girls as they beat the team from the United States in a world record time of 3:14.051, breaking their own two previous world records, set in the qualifying heat and the semi-final.
Elliotts has sponsored King since she was 16.
