Lumley said: “UAP has expanded rapidly in recent years and has ambitious plans to keep scaling up. My job is to make sure it remains a very efficient, profitable business and that our culture aligns with this aim.

“With seven different brands forming part of the UAP group, I’ll be working closely with senior managers to ensure there are consistent goals and ways of working, putting us on the strongest possible growth path.”

UAP, which was crowned Hardware Company of the Year at the National Fenestration Awards in 2023, grew by more than 50 per cent last year.

Strategic acquisitions brought Maher London and Security Hardware into the group. UAP has also invested in Armadillo Metal Coating, and launched Fire Door Maintenance (FDM), a business offering fire door inspection and maintenance services plus specialist training.

David Jennings, CEO of UAP, commented: “Adam joins us at an exciting time when we want to take the business to the next level. Our new headquarters is key to achieving this along with continued diversification and innovation.

“Adam’s experience, which includes proven expertise in growing profitable businesses, is crucial to our long-term strategy. His skills will enable us to identify opportunities for further expansion and efficiency.”
