Ridgeons opens four new branches

Three of the new branches, St Neots, St Ives and Bedford are former Build Center sites, acquired from Saint-Gobain when the latter was forced to sell 23 sites to allay OFT competition concerns.

These will become Ridgeons branded branches and will start to implement Ridgeons’ operating systems, and the existing staff in the branches will transfer.

Ridgeons’ managing director Angela Rushforth said: “The acquisition of these sites demonstrates to our customers our total commitment to making it easier for them to do business, in areas where we haven’t previously had a presence. We are looking forward to bringing the things that Ridgeons is known for – our breadth and depth of quality products, the expertise of our people and our high standards of service, to new and existing customers across these additional locations.”

, Deputy Chairman Johnnie Sam said: “The new branches, bringing the total to 26 trading branches in the East of England, are part of our ongoing investment strategy which has also recently seen the recruitment of additional sales reps to support our customer base.”
