Petersfield builders merchants raises money for Macmillan

Staff and customers at Petersfield Travis Perkins raised £365.73 at a coffee morning in the Bedford Road builders merchants for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Coffee and homemade treats were bought in by staff to raise the money.

Travis Perkins spokesman Sarah Jackson said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who turned out to support our coffee morning, and are so pleased to have raised £365.73 for Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s such a brilliant cause and one that is particularly close our hearts, as so many of us have experienced cancer in some way.”

Macmillan spokesman Lizie Beeley said: “The amazing total raised by Travis Perkins Petersfield will help us provide vital practical, medical, emotional and financial support to people affected by cancer. On behalf of Macmillan I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Travis Perkins who offered their time and support for World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this year.”

Macmillan and Travis Perkins launched their charity partnership in 2015, and so far colleagues and customers of the builders’ merchants have raised £600,000 for people affected by cancer.
