On The Tools gets bold and runs 60km in a day for Movember

The team at On The Tools, the leading online construction based community in the UK, have braved the shave and one team member has completed a 60km run in a single day to support this year’s Movember campaign.

The Movember campaign aims to tackle men’s health and reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25 per cent by 2030.  During the month, men are encouraged to shave their existing beards or moustaches and ‘Grow a mo’, or commit to running or walking 60 kilometres during the month. The 60km represents the 60 men lost to suicide each hour, every hour, across the world.

Jordan Leeming, video producer at Electric House – the social media and publishing agency behind On The Tools, said: “I wanted to do whatever I could to raise money this Movember so I decided to go one step further and run 60km in a day. I’ll start my run from my beloved Nottingham Forest ground in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, and went on to run 60km arriving at our head office, in Fazeley Tamworth.”

“The run was a big challenge as I’ve not ever run that far before – over 37 miles! I’m thrilled to have completed it and certain that by going the extra mile we will raise vital funds to support the charity.”

Adam Barrie, creative director at On The Tools said: “We’re passionate about men’s health which is why it’s great to get involved in Movember once again. I am rather itchy after starting to grow my moustache, but I know that small sacrifice is nothing in comparison to the bigger picture of men’s health. Jordan running 60km was an incredible feat and we’re all so proud of him.

“To further support Movember, we’ll also be publishing some original video content via our On The Tools Facebook community this month, to raise awareness across the construction industry and getting in front of as many men as possible. Watch this space!”
