North West builders merchant Builders Supplies (West Coast) provided much needed support for its general manager Vaughan Evans on the Barrow and Back sponsored cycle ride.
The 160 mile ride was undertaken by Evans and fellow members of Fleetwood RUFC undertook to raise funds for the RFU Wooden Spoon children’s charity and also to raise money for the club’s Under 14s tour.
Evans told buildersmerchantsjournal.net: “We set off on Friday afternoon from the rugby club, stopping overnight in Carnforth. The next morning we rode to Barrow to watch our 1st team defeat league rivals Hawcoat Park and then cycled back to Grange-Over-Sands for our Saturday night stop before returning to Fleetwood on Sunday afternoon.
“None of us are what you would call keen cyclists and are all over 40 but under 55! – We were superbly flanked by our support vehicle supplied by Builders Supplies!”
