Merchant and supplier Achievers rewarded at BMF Members’ Day Awards

Builders merchants Lords Builders Merchants, Matthew and Rosemond and Kent Blaxill, as well as suppliers Midland Lead and Marsh Industries, and service member Stirling Warrington were honoured with awards at the Builders Merchants Federation Annual Members’ Day Conference and Awards last week.

The 2022 BMF Young Merchant Achievers were: winner Josh Guest from Lords, second placed Oliver Wilson from Matthew & Rosemond and, in third place, Kent Blaxill’s Harry Andrews.

Midland Lead’s sales and marketing manager Kyle Hazledine won the Young Supplier Achiever award, while Marsh Industries managing director Steve Boyer was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award for BMF support. Natalie Chapman from recruitment specialists Stirling Warrington was named BMF Ambassador of the Year.

The Awards were presented at a gala dinner in the evening of the BMF Annual Members’ Day Conference which began with the AGM, and included presentations by BMF Chairman Richard Hill, CEO John Newcomb, Fergus Harradence, deputy director construction at BEIS and photo-journalists Giles Duley.  Hosted by TV sports presenter Jason Mohammed, the event also included a discussion about diversity with Kate Tinsley CEO MKM and Independent Non-Executive Director for the Football Association, andPaul Elliott, diversity chief at the FA.
