Inspired Home Interiors join Sirius Buying Group

Inspired Home Interiors, part of the Stamco Group of companies, has committed to joining the Sirius Buying Group, to take advantage of the groups ever-growing buying power and provide more extensive terms: including Symphony, a key supplier for Inspired Home Interiors.

John Cornelius, Managing Director, Inspired Home Interiors explains “Providing us with unparalleled buying power, opportunities for improved margins, plus access to an exclusive range of products were the driving forces behind this new business alliance and transition to move all of our Symphony purchasing over to Sirius.”

Cornelius continues “We are already seeing tangible benefits owing to the keen support from other Sirius Approved Suppliers who have been extremely receptive to what we’re trying to achieve for the independent, and we are confident Inspired Home Interiors can and will respond with the same level of dedication and commitment. Symphony really has been instrumental to our business growth and continued ability to develop, and without this vital support, Inspired Home Interiors would not be the business it is today: Symphony has undoubtedly been the driving force behind our business success.”

Amanda Porter, Director, Inspired Home Interiors “I see our relationship with Sirius developing in the same way as Symphony, whereby the group will become a driver in our business and become a natural extension to the Inspired team. We are hoping that the association with Sirius will open up new opportunities and products for us and that this leads to more opprtunities for building relationships with other suppliers.”

Robert Williamson, Retail National Business Development Manager, Symphony “Put simply, it is our role as a premium kitchen manufacturer to be able to react to and anticipate market disruption so that our retailers can thrive. Consequently, it was my advice to Inspired Home Interiors to pass all Symphony purchasing over to Sirius and ultimately benefit from the umbrella-effect of a Buying Group and making of a truly holistic retail experience.”

Williamson continues “I am confident that making the switch to Sirius has ultimately safeguarded the future of many UK showrooms we work with, and I know Symphony is committed to change and is dedicated to ensuring our network of UK retailers only offer the highest standards and deliver a ‘right, first time, every time’ service.”

The Symphony Group is privately owned and manufactures kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture, with a turnover exceeding £220 million Its customers include private developers, social housing providers and independent retailers in the UK and overseas. Williamson continues on to say “Several Sirius members have already taken the decision to take Symphony on as part of their core offering, whether to help them start their journey into the kitchen furniture market or to become a new arm of their business.”

Darren Scott, Business Development Manager, Sirius Buying Group “We continuously work very closely with our suppliers, creating exclusive opportunities so that our members have the best tools available to them. Symphony has been invaluable in our bid to attract new kitchen retailers to the group, spearheading retail conversions across a host of exisiting interior showrooms and electrical appliance retailers. Through encouragement, retailers have started to allocate floor space to include 5-15 kitchen lifestyle displays as a way to attract new revenue streams and compete on the high street. We want to continue working hard for the independent and this heightened level of peer-to-peer communication can only help our efforts. Using Symphony’s expertise and knowledge as market leaders in kitchen furniture has given our Members the confidence to venture into a new area of business, take advantage of exclusive display deals and products and most importantly, provide the opportunity to significantly increase th

e overall margin in their business.”

Steve Jones, Commercial Director at Sirius Buying Group surmises “The aim of our buying group is principally offer exclusive opportunities for our members to work together and secure increased margins to build a more profitable business. Symphony has truly influenced the opinion of our group amonst the kitchen retail market, and I hope with continued initiatives, we will continue to amplify our members profiles amongst suppliers and significantly, the consumer.”
