Huws Gray Partnership Solutions launches Specials Management Hub

Huws Gray Partnership Solutions has launched a pioneering new Specials Management Hub, designed to transform the way housing providers, local authorities and contractors source specialist and hard-to-find building products.

Currently being rolled out across Huws Gray Partnership Solutions‘ nationwide account portfolio, the bespoke hub has been developed in-house to provide customers with a faster, simpler and more efficient way to manage specialist product requirements, helping streamline maintenance, refurbishment and repair projects.

The system provides a centralised platform for managing specialist orders from initial request through to delivery or collection, significantly reducing the time and administration traditionally associated with sourcing replacement materials. Through live tracking and status updates, customers benefit from greater visibility throughout the order journey, while built-in communication tools enable faster collaboration between operatives, branches and planning teams.

The hub features AI-assisted image recognition capability, which means users can upload a photograph of a product requiring replacement, with the system generating a detailed product description to support accurate identification and ordering. This helps reduce the risk of mis-ordering while speeding up the sourcing process for operatives working in the field.

Designed with busy housing and construction professionals in mind, the desk-based hub provides a simple and secure way to manage specialist orders, with individual user access, order validation functionality and comprehensive audit trails supporting compliance and accountability throughout the process.

Lyndon Johnson, managing director of Huws Gray Partnership Solutions, says: “Finding specialist products can often be one of the most time-consuming aspects of repairs and maintenance projects, particularly when dealing with older housing stock or bespoke materials. We recognised a need for a smarter, more efficient solution that could simplify the process for our customers.”

“Our new Specials Management Hub brings the entire specials ordering process into one place, giving customers greater visibility, improved communication and a more streamlined experience from enquiry through to fulfilment. The platform’s AI-assisted functionality helps operatives capture more accurate product information in the field, reducing delays and helping ensure the right products are sourced first time.”

“This is a genuine innovation for the sector and reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in technology that delivers real value for housing providers, local authorities and contractors. We’re excited to see the hub being adopted across our customer base and to continue supporting organisations in delivering efficient repairs and maintenance services.”

By combining specialist product expertise with advanced digital technology, Huws Gray Partnership Solutions continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner to housing associations, local authorities and contractors delivering essential housing services across the country.
