Huws Gray completes Yorkshire Three Peaks

A team of over 30 colleagues from builders merchant Huws Gray Group has completed the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest mountains in Yorkshire to raise funds for the charities Mates in Mind and CRASH.

The challenge saw the team scale Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, in challenging weather conditions, to raise a total of £24,184 with all proceeds going directly to Mates in Mind, who promote mental health awareness and support across the construction sector, and CRASH, who helps homelessness charities and hospices with construction-related projects.

“It was a physically and mentally tough experience, but incredibly rewarding,” said Dafydd Hughes, Huws Gray’s head of central operations. “Taking on this challenge as a team really reflects our commitment not only to each other but also to the wider construction community. We’re proud to support the important work these two charities do every day.”
