Duftons moves in on north east sales

Plumbers merchant Duftons has opened its 13th and 14th branches this year, expanding into the North East with a branch in Durham and one in Stockton-on-Tees.

The new Durham branch is one of Duftons largest facilities, with an area of 7,000 sq ft. It features a renewable energy centre, dedicated bathroom showroom and trade counter.

The Stockton-on-Tees branch is 4,500 sq ft and features a dedicated bathroom showroom and trade counter.

Daniel Thackray, sales director at Duftons says: “It really is an exciting time for Duftons Plumbing & Heating Supplies as we expand beyond Yorkshire into the North East. To celebrate the opening of both branches, Duftons held two Trade Week Launch events with   22 suppliers present from companies including Ideal Heating, Polypipe, EPH, Fernox and UK Cylinder etc.

Duftons is the largest independent Plumbing & Heating Merchant in the North of England and supplies a full range of plumbing and heating supplies to the trade. It has also expanded into renewables to support the transition from fossil fuels to low carbon and energy efficient technologies. The company now offers a full range of renewable products, including Air Source Heat Pumps,  Ground Source Heat Pumps, Underfloor Heating, Solar Thermal and Solar Photovoltaic to provide a more sustainable solution.

It has branches in Leeds, Beeston, Castleford, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Bingley, Bradford, Thirsk and Gildersome, as well as Durham and Stockton-on-Tees.
