Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Architectural designer and TV presenter Charlie Luxton will be the Keynote Speaker at the Builders Merchants Federation’s Young Merchant Conference in October.
The event, which takes place on Wednesday 6 October, during UK Construction Week at the NEC, Birmingham, carries the theme, “Building the Next Generation”, and is designed to encourage, inspire and enthuse.
Luxton, who currently presents Building the Dream, Homes by the Sea and Homes by the Med on More 4 has presented numerous programmes on architectural heritage and provides design advice across the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and in the USA.
He is passionate about the environment and communicating his enthusiasm for sustainable architecture and eco-friendly design. Since 2005 he has focused on sustainable housing and, as Charlie Luxton Environmental Design, he is currently working several sustainable housing projects in London, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds.

In addition to a full day’s business programme the BMF Young Merchants Conference features an evening social event at the Sky Loft within the Park Regis Hotel.
