Day Aggregates has launched enhanced waste management and muck away services from its newly developed Battersea facility, supporting construction and infrastructure projects across South and Central London.
The facility serves as a hub for the import of fully compliant, high-volume removal of non-hazardous soils and stones from construction sites across London. With integrated rail freight connections, the site enables the efficient bulk transport of materials to licensed disposal and recycling centres entirely by rail.
This new operation builds on Day Aggregates’ established site clearance services across the South, with muck away contracts already active from Bristol and Cardiff in the West to Maidstone in the East.
“Our Battersea operation brings faster turnaround, lower emissions, and scalable solutions for the construction sector,” said Adam Day, director, Day Group. “This development is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the wider construction industry in carbon emissions, improving resource efficiency, and building more sustainable supply chains.”
Operating from a fully licensed waste handling facility, the Battersea site is permitted by the Environment Agency to handle up to 200,000 tonnes of inert and non-hazardous construction waste each year.
