Independent builders and timber merchant Covers recently supported The Portsmouth School of Gymnastics in their quest to conquer Europe.
Covers, who have a depot on Norway Road, Portsmouth, sponsored the senior women’s team, who came sixth in the qualifying competition, made it to the European finals in Iceland and came sixth overall – competing against some of the best teams in Europe.
Covers’ Portsmouth depot manager, Dale Lambourne, said: “The Portsmouth School of Gymnastics team have achieved an awful lot this year and we are proud to have helped them, through sponsorship, to get to the European finals. Any help we can provide for this outstanding team is great. We were only too pleased to sponsor the gymnastics stars of the future.”
Rochelle Oxley, Senior Team Member, thanked Covers for their support over the past few months.
Oxley said: “We feel that we have done ourselves and our country proud in this competition. It was hard work but well worth it. Once again, a massive thank you to Covers and to all our supporters, we wouldn’t have made it to the finals without them.”
