The BMF has issued an urgent warning to merchants and building materials suppliers seeking funding for colleagues to take the popular Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship programme.
After July 17, merchants and suppliers will no longer have access to the Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship through the BMF.
This follows the government’s decision to withdraw funding from the Level 3 course in order to direct apprenticeship funding to support young people on entry-level programmes.
The final deadline to sign up colleagues for the funded delivery of this Apprenticeship through the BMF is July 17 2026.
John Newcomb, BMF CEO, advised: “With the deadline for applications fast approaching, building materials businesses with colleagues ready to step into management or looking to strengthen their leadership capability must act immediately to take advantage of the BMF’s final funded programme.”
