F & P Wholesale takes to the skies and streets for charity

Richard Birch, F & P Wholesale key account manager and Ray Selwood, warehouse supervisor at the West Midlands distribution centre, both took part in a sky dive during September in Peterborough.

Sponsorship of more than £2,000 encouraged the two brave employees to take a leap out of the plane at 13,000 feet, with the money raised being donated to the national wheelchair charity, Whizz-Kidz.

In addition, a group of enthusiastic employees took to the streets of London on Friday 11 October 2013 in support of the Whizz-Kidz Neon Nightwalk fundraising event. Staff members from Connections by F & P Wholesale and merchant customer WMI Simpsons Ltd of Finchley, London also got involved with the 10-mile walk. The entire team embraced the neon theme by dressing in brightly coloured clothing for the event.

Jed Kenrick, managing director at F & P Wholesale and participant in the Whizz-Kidz Neon Nightwalk, said: “It is fantastic to see how many F & P Wholesale employees take the time and energy to organise and take part in fundraising events for such an inspirational charity. I would like to thank everyone for their efforts so far and will always encourage and support anyone who wants to take on a challenge in the name of such a worthy cause.”
