Gibbs & Dandy’s Pudsey branch has begun supplying building material to children’s football club, Eldwick Juniors, as part of a £5,000 community investment project.
The football club won a competition run by Gibbs & Dandy, for £5,000 worth of investment to a local organisation with the most votes.
Gibbs & Dandy Pudsey has been supplying materials to local tradesmen and volunteers who have started constructing new changing facilities at the club’s ground. Hundreds of children who play for the Eldwick club will benefit from a new hot water installation and kitchen facilities with a view to provide hot drinks and sandwiches on match days.
Nik Beedham, branch director at the Pudsey Gibbs & Dandy branch said: “The competition ‘Nominate to Renovate’, was originally set up by Saint-Gobain and Gibbs & Dandy for community members to nominate a local organisation they felt deserved some investment. Eldwick Juniors Football Club is a shining example of an establishment which does so much in bringing its community together and are deserved winners of the £5,000 investment.”
