Wolseley UK has signed up as a Green Deal Provider, which means Plumb Center can give its registered installer customers the opportunity to access Green Deal funding for their customers, when the scheme launches next week.
Plumb Center renewables director Simon Allan said: “I am delighted that we have secured official authorisation to become a Green Deal Provider.
“This is the final piece in the jigsaw, enabling Plumb Center to offer a comprehensive package of Green Deal products and services for its installer customers – advice, training, accreditation, finance and energy efficiency products.”
To help drive demand for the Green Deal in its early stages, the government has announced a Green Deal Cashback Scheme. However, with only a week to go until the main launch, only five households have yet been assessed.
