Twyford Bathrooms makes double appointment

Twyford Bathrooms has appointed Oliver Widdowson as head of customer services, and Kara Virgo as its business support & specification manager.
Widdowson joins Twyford from Spectrum Brands where he was customer operations manager, working with brands such as Russell Hobbs and Remington. He will now be responsible for managing the internal sales and after-sales teams.

Commenting on his appointment, Widdowson said: “I’m thoroughly enjoying my new role and looking forward to the challenges and opportunities for improvement that lie ahead in a flourishing business environment.”

Since joining Twyford ten years ago, Virgo has worked through a number of business-to-business roles including internal sales management, customer services and after sales support, both for home and export markets. Prior to her new appointment she was Head of Customer Services.

She now heads a dedicated team with the responsibility of supporting the salesforce with pricing strategies, tracking projects, lead generation and producing specifications.

Virgo said: “Having worked within Twyford in a number of team management roles, I’m relishing the opportunity to bring my experience of the company and the market to this newly-created role to ensure that the salesforce gets strategic support to help increase the sales lead/conversion ratio.”

The pair will both report to commercial operations manager, Brent Hudson.
