Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Builders merchant group Travis Perkins has acquired a 109,000 sq ft warehouse south of Warrington at Appleton.
It has bought a building in Lyncastle Road, with easy access to the M56 and the M60.
In July it secured planning consent for a 630,000 sq ft logistics base at Omega, north of Warrington on the M62. Last month it agreed a £52.8m sale and leaseback deal on the site with Standard Life Investments.
It is likely that Travis Perkins will relocate one of its existing facilities to the new premises.
