Timber supplier and processor Timbmet has been bought by Hadleigh Timber, owner of Meyer Timber.

Founded in 1942, Timbmet has one of the UK’s most extensive timber and panel product ranges, complemented by a range of manufacturing services. The range includes timber; in a wide range of species, panel products, doors, worktops and flooring, cladding, decking, engineered timber, profiles and mouldings.

It will join Meyer, Panelco and Premium within the Hadleigh Group, creating a timber group with a turnover estimated in the region of £300m.

Chris Rudd, the CEO of the Hadleigh Group will immediately assume management responsibility for Timbmet and its subsidiaries.

Chairman of Hadleigh Timber, Martyn Meade said that Hadleigh consider this acquisition to be a strategic step forward to compliment its existing operations.
