QEP brand Tile Rite has introduced its Ultra Light Tile Backer Board, designed to deliver a waterproof substrate for professional tile installation.
With a waterproof membrane laminated on both faces, Ultra Light Tile Backer Boards are designed for tiling around baths, basins, showers and wetrooms, and can be mounted directly to bare plaster, masonry and dense wooden boards, such as OSB (6-10-12mm thickness).
The boards can be screwed or glued in place, and thicker versions (10mm-12mm) are suitable for use with wooden or steel framework.
Each board measures 1200mm x 600mm and weighs from just 1.2kg/m2 (6mm).
