Thieves steal fuel from Hanson cement factory

Fuel thieves have stolen around 30,000 litres of fuel from Hanson’s Ketton Cement works in Rutland.

The thieves are believed to have navigated the site security systems to attach a 200m long pipe to the fuel bunker in the vehicle compound, which was then siphoned off to a nearby tanker .

Hanson has around 100 vehicles on site, a mix of own account and franchisee, and has launched an internal investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the theft should contact Leicestershire police.
