Siniat launches innovative U-value app

Drywall products manufacturer Siniat has launched a new U-value app to help builders and installers determine the right materials to improve the thermal efficiency of buildings and meet regulatory requirements.

Siniat launches innovative U-value app

The app, Siniat Calculator, measures the compliancy of different drylining systems with the requirements of Part L of English Building Regulations. It is designed for builders and installers working on residential projects and provides users with a range of dry material options to best meet the different thermal requirements for new build, extensions and renovation projects.

Customers can choose from three different options, depending on whether they want the thinnest drylining system to maximise floor space, the most cost-effective method to meet regulations, or the best option for boosting thermal efficiency. The app also provides details of the nearest merchant for the contractor to purchase the products.

Siniat Calculator can be downloaded from Android and IOS app stores. An online version of the app is also hosted on Siniat’s website.

Neil Ash, managing director for Siniat UK, said: “We are always looking for new ways to help our customers deliver the best results for their projects.

“This new app means that they can access our technical expertise wherever they are. By helping them to easily identify the best drylining options for the regulatory requirements of their projects, they can more accurately and quickly cost their work and source the materials they need, ultimately resulting in faster build times and more cost-effective projects in the long run.”
