SIG Roofing staff fall for charity

The director at SIG Roofing’s Melrose branch hit the ground with a bump when he and a friend and colleague took part in a tandem sky dive in aid of charity.

To commemorate their 50th birthdays Kevin Purves and Jamie Glover decided to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and The Borders Dialysis Unit at Borders General. So far they have raised over £400 for each charity and SIG Roofing will match the sponsorship, doubling the donation to nearly £2,000 in total.

Purves said: “The two charities we chose were really close to mine and Jamie’s heart and we had close family members who had benefitted from the work the unit carried out. The generosity of our friends, family, colleagues and even local customers of SIG Roofing in Melrose has been overwhelming.

“We hope the money raised can play a small part in helping to continue the incredible work that the British Heart Foundation and The Borders Dialysis Unit carries out. Now we’ve achieved this, the sky’s the limit.”
