Selco celebrates branch anniversaries with charity competition

The builders merchant, part of the Grafton Group, is giving away £4,500 worth of building supplies and materials to charities and community groups in Bristol and Swansea.

The competition has been launched in conjunction with two landmark Selco anniversaries in September, which will be 25 and 20 years since the opening of their Swansea and Bristol branches respectively.

Charities and community groups in the two areas can apply for the prize by explaining in no more than 100 words why they would be deserving winners of the materials and filling in a form at either www.selcobw.com/bristol20 or www.selcobw.com/swansea25. Entries must be received by September 9.

Chris Cunliffe, chief executive of Selco Builders Warehouse, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for charities and community groups in Bristol and Swansea.

“As a company, we are very proud to have a chance to make a huge difference to a charity or community group in each area and we look forward to receiving entries.”

As part of Selco’s celebrations, prices on key products are being rolled back to those in the 1990s when the two branches first opened.

“We are delighted to peg prices back, giving customers some generous savings on popular products,” added Cunliffe.
