Russell Roof Tiles hosts charity football match

Russell Roof Tiles (RRT) is hosting a charity football match at Villa Park Stadium on May 27.

Two squads of 17 including 16 players from RRT’s Burton and Lochmaben sites, as well as suppliers and customers have accepted the invitation to participate in the match with the ambition to raise £4,000 for local charities and causes.

All donations received from the players will be added to the company’s fundraising project, Give 4 Good, which aims to raise £50,000 to provide financial support to 11 charities and organisations based close to its two sites.

Organiser of the match, Ross Hayward, area sales manager at Russell Roof Tiles, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who is taking part and donating. It’s been a real team effort to sort out but we couldn’t do it without our customers and suppliers who have all kindly donated £100 or more to play. The money raised will help to provide financial support to our local charities. It’s set to be a great day out and everybody, especially the guys from Russell Roof Tiles, are pumped up and ready to go. Let’s see which team brings home the trophy!”
