Rudridge takes delivery of JCB forklifts

Independent builders merchant Rudridge has taken delivery of four new JCB TLT30D 4×4 Teletruck Forklifts at its Farnham branch to improve efficiency.

The company say that re-investing in these JCB teletrucks, which cost in the region of £32,000 each, will bring advantages to its customers due to their “quality features such as a telescopic reach which enables faster, single-side unloading”.

The Farnham branch has extremely high stock levels and Rudridge are hopeful these teletrucks will enable them to maximise all available space to its full potential, which in return means its customers are served with speed and efficiency and that their own delivery vehicles are not held up in the branch between loads, increasing vehicle efficiency.

Eddie Rourke, Rudridge group logistics manager, said: “We have used JCB Teletrucks for 10 years now in our branches and I’ll never have another ordinary counterbalanced truck again. These teletrucks are twice as fast and with single side loading you save all that space in the yard.

“If a 40 foot artic arrives, it isn’t necessary to put it in to the middle of the yard, causing the yard to become blocked. It can be parked to one side of the yard and be unloaded from a single side only. The driver also doesn’t need to open both curtains so time is saved there too.”
