Roca backs the BMF for plumbing & heating

Sanitaryware manufacturer Roca UK is the latest supplier member to join the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).
The manufacturer includes sanitaryware, baths, shower trays, shower columns, taps, bathroom furniture and ceramic tiles amongst its wide-ranging product portfolio and has over 76 production plants and more than 20,000 employees worldwide.

Established in 1993, Roca UK has offices in Leicestershire and London and a significant proportion of its sales are made via builders merchants.

“We are looking forward to playing a full part in the BMF,” said Alan Dodds, managing director of Roca UK.

“A large part of our business is with merchants and we remain totally committed to the merchant as one of our main routes to market. I am impressed with John Newcomb’s plans to drive the BMF Plumbing and Heating sector forward as the specialist group representing this market place and Roca would like to support him in this initiative.”

BMF MD, John Newcomb, said: “I am delighted that Roca is joining the BMF as our first major sanitaryware manufacturing member and backing our project for the plumbing and heating sector.

“This is a vibrant and thriving business sector, which will go from strength to strength as the housing market continues its recovery. We are building the broadest cross section of merchants and suppliers serving the P&H sector and will ensure their voice is heard by policy makers and other key industry influencers.

“The next P&H sector meeting will be held on the 27th November in Yorkshire and promises to be our best yet with a full and varied Agenda covering all aspects of the market.”
