A team from Welsh builders merchants Robert Price has completed the Caerphilly 10K event. The ‘Challenge Team’ took on the hilly course on Sunday 21st June, with all 10 Robert Price runners finishing.

The event, organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council, is set in the shadow of Caerphilly Castle and passes other iconic Caerphilly landmarks on the way round the 6.2 mile course, including the giant cheese sculpture and Tommy Cooper statue.
All 10 Robert Price runners ran personal bests. The team consisted of staff from several branches and the run provided an ideal opportunity to come together and complete a shared challenge. The fastest Robert Price team time was set by CRS Bridgend yard foreman Gary Lyons, who ran the course in a fantastic time of 50 minutes.
Dave Pattison, public sector co-ordinator at Robert Price and one of the runners who took part in the race, commented: “This was my 3rd Caerphilly 10K, it’s a great day and always a really well run event but the running certainly doesn’t get any easier! It was great to enter such an enthusiastic and proactive team this year, everyone did a good job. We certainly enjoyed supporting such an integral local event in Caerphilly. I’m hoping next year’s team will be even bigger and fingers crossed – faster!”
