Two customers of southern builders merchants Elliotts’ have walked away with prizes worth hundreds of pounds from the Yellow Storm Roadshow.
Elliotts and DeWalt asked customers to take on the Drive to Win Challenge at Yellow Storm, which saw customers race one another for the fastest time using a collated screwdriver to bolt a number of screws into a piece of plasterboard.
Sam West, an Elliotts Fareham customer from T and D West, was declared the fastest of them all with a speedy time of 5.95 seconds, leaving his competition in the dust. For his efforts he received a hi-tech DeWalt screwdriver, the DCF620D2K-GB. The unit comes with two batteries, a collated conversion kit and its own T-Stak box.
Runner up, Steve Mitchell from Mitchell Plumbing and Heating, also won a DeWalt rotary hammer drill, the DCH363D2, and £150 Elliotts vouchers to spend on anything in store.
Tom Elliott, managing director of Elliotts, said: “The Yellow Storm roadshow spent a fantastic three days in the Fareham and Portsmouth branches, inviting the public and tradesman to trial the newest DeWalt and Stanley tools. The challenge was great fun and a huge congratulations to our winners on being named the fastest Elliotts customers in Hampshire.”
