Independent East Anglian builders merchant Ridgeons has announced the appointment of a new managing director, Nick Sims.
Sims takes up the new position of Managing Director – Merchants, having previously been Group Commercial & Trading Director). He will report directly to the Non-Executive Chair Rodney Baker-Bates and will work along-side Ian Northen (Group Financial Director) and Ann Corbyn (Group HR Director).
Baker-Bates, said: “The board has been working on a robust three year strategy, ensuring a positive future for Ridgeons. We will continue to forge ahead with our plans for growth and are confident our new structure will keep our business agile and continue to meet the demands of our valued customers.”
The changes are part of Ridgeons’ three-year growth plan. Former managing director Angela Rushforth is now in a senior role at Travis Perkins plc.
In addition to 26 merchant branches the Ridgeons Group also includes Ridgeons Forest Products, CRS Wholesale and Anglia Tool Centre.
