Record number step up to Huws Gray landscape challenge

Builders merchant Huws Gray has announced that the winner of its Landscaper of the Year award, sponsored by Pavestone and Aco, is A&R Landscapes.

The competition aimed at Huws Gray landscaping customers invites participants to share images of their completed landscaping projects. Each year the company uses the opportunity to engage with customers and promote the diverse range of quality products in their landscaping offering. With a 20% increase in entries during the competition, which ran from March through November, an even higher standard of applicants was received than the year prior.

Gary Wheeler, Area Sales Manager, at headline sponsor Pavestone commented:We were delighted to be sponsoring the Huws Gray initiative, “Landscaper of the Year” competition, for the third year in succession. At Pavestone we love to see our natural stone and porcelain landscaping products take shape in the creation of beautiful gardens. Especially so when some of the great Huws Gray landscapers demonstrate their immense imagination and design flare in the construction of their customer’s dream home landscaping projects.

Aco Area Sales Manager Darren Crane, said: “The landscaper entries this year have shown tremendous innovation in sculpting outdoor spaces to enhance their usability and create places that complement the lifestyles of their customers. It is always a spectacular competition every year as it builds momentum and raises the bar for the participants.”

Huws Gray merchant marketing manager Chris Roberts added: “We would like to send a big thank you to everyone who participated in the contest and helped make it a success. Championing the immensely talented landscapers in our local communities is wonderful and we’re honoured to be able to utilise this competition to show just how much expertise and skill there is out there.”
