Plumbers merchant chain PTS has reacted to a constant stream of installers asking for information on the boiler scrappage scheme with a dedicated leaflet.
Kelvin Stevens, managing director of PTS, said: “Many installers still don’t know the details of the boiler scrappage scheme, how it will operate and how the £400 can be claimed. Our fear is that installers, who will be central to the success of this scheme, will be put off by concerns about how the scheme works and the potential for large amounts of paperwork in order to access the funding.”
“In reality, the scheme is very easy for the householder and installer to administer. Our new leaflet will inform installers about the boiler scrappage scheme so they can advise their own customers on how to claim their £400.”
