Premier League stars take on Ideal challenge

Ahead of their FA Cup Final clash against Arsenal, two Hull City players took time out from training to take on the Ideal Boilers Challenge.

Premier League stars take on Ideal challenge

Tigers captain Curtis Davies and midfielder David Meyler, who will attempt to upset the odds on Saturday 17 May when they take on the Gunners, went head-to-head in the challenge.

The Ideal challenge comprises of two identical Logic+ boilers set up side-by-side, and the competitors race to strip the boiler down in the fastest possible time, to make it ready for servicing. Many installers have put their speed to the test, with the best time recorded at 13.44 seconds.

“It was great to have the Hull City players take part,” said Ideal’s head of marketing Carrie Young. “They really threw themselves into it and enjoyed the challenge, and as you would expect, both wanted to win.

“I won’t give anything away but the result might be surprising, so it’s definitely worth watching the video.

“The challenge is designed to be fun, but it also demonstrates how quick and simple it is to work on the Logic+ range of boilers from Ideal, as all the components are so easily accessible. The players did well for their first ever go, but it’s bread-and-butter work for installers.”
