The new Training and Innovation Centre at plumbing and heating component manufacturer Pegler Yorkshire has already attracted attention from Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton.

The fully interactive training centre at Pegler Yorkshire has been created with the aim of providing a facility where plumbing industry professionals can utilise the expertise and experience of the team behind the product to further understand its workings.
Winterton was given a tour of the facility by group managing director Stuart Anderson and marketing and business development director Phill Jackson.
She was able to see how to balance a system, view a fully fitted underfloor heating system, experience live demonstrations and view training packages via interactive touch screen facilities. There is also an enclosed training pod where up to twelve people can receive detailed training on products of their choice.
She said: “I am keen to encourage young people into an engineering career and have recently launched a competition for secondary school children to design a product they would like to see made into a real life proto-type.
“The facility created by Pegler Yorkshire further demonstrates that the engineering industry is ever evolving and we should place huge importance on developing the skills of not only our youngsters but individuals who will benefit from the innovation of others.
“It is great to see a Doncaster company leading the way in its industry with such an engaging and innovative facility.”
