New quality control role for TIMco’s Tonks

TIMco, independent supplier of screws and fixings, has announced that Cris Tonks is to be its new quality control manager.

Tonks has been with the company for more than 18 years and will be located at the company’s head office in Nantwich.

As QC manager, he will oversee new product development, deal with existing and new suppliers within the Far East and Europe as well as developing on-site training programs for both merchants and end users. He will also be responsible for checking containers daily, spot checking products as well as offering product support and answering technical questions.

Simon Midwood, managing director of TIMco, said: “Cris has been with the company for nearly 20 years and we’re privileged to have such a loyal member of staff work for us. Cris’s new role will allow him to use all of his existing knowledge and experience and to help create, design and test our new products.”
