New hoarding is a big draw

It isn’t the attack of the forty foot pencils, nor is it another overnight art installation in the capital, it is in fact a hoarding to hide a development in Lancaster Gate, London.

New hoarding is a big draw

The giant pencil hoarding is in front of the former Thistle Hotel at Lancaster Gate, which Northacre plc is currently transforming into luxury apartments. And, say the company, the eye-catching hoarding has been instrumental in increasing the levels of sales of properties themselves by a staggering 80%.

GKR’s scaffold gantry, measuring 120m in length, supports the pencil advertising hoarding which has cost in the region of £300,000 to produce.
