Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
West London based Lords Builders Merchants has acquired the majority share capital in Hevey Building Supplies Ltd.
Shanker Patel CEO of the Lords Group commented: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to acquire a share in this long standing successful business from its retiring owner – Neil Hemmington. Mark Mulvey will be continuing as Managing Director and we are looking forward to working together with the existing team to expand the business further.”
The business is planning to move its main branch in Northampton to a new 4 acre site which will open late 2017/early 2018.
Both businesses are members of the H&B Buying Group and is the third take over of a fellow H&B member by Lords. Following this acquisition, Hevey Building Supplies will continue as a separate company within the Lords Group.
