Keyline Builders Merchants has been selected to be the sole supplier for civil engineering company Livis.
The company, who has a competitive presence in the rail sector, is streamlining its procurement process and simplifying its supply chain.
Keyline’s National Rail Office will supply Livis with all of its specialist rail and civil engineering products, as well as offering an Emergency Response Service for round-the-clock access to essential resources. Livis will also be able to make use of Keyline’s driving teams and fleet of vehicles to deliver products.
Livis Ltd’s Barry Coulson-Smith described the partnership as helping to reinforce the high standard of service it provides to its rail customers: “Keyline possesses expertise to meet our exact needs by understanding the operational challenges we face.”
The company, who also works in construction, hope that this streamlining process will also help them to improve and ensure health and safety compliance. With only one company providing drivers and vehicles, it will be much simpler to ensure the transport function operates within Livis’ internal health, safety and environmental processes.
Keyline’s National Rail manager Matt Davidson said that Livis was just the latest in an increasing number of their work within the rail sector, including MAFA (Multi-Asset Framework Agreement), track work, civil engineering and building, Network Rail and London Underground contracts.
