AVS trades through its subsidiary company AVS Fencing Supplies Limited. The turnover of the combined group will be close to £125m with 565 employees and operates from 27 branches across the South East of England.

The acquisition will form a platform for future expansion in the fencing and landscaping market for Lawsons, which operates from 17 branches throughout London and the South East and has been trading for 99 years.

AVS has 10 branches employing over 120 members of staff in the South and East of England majoring in fencing and hard landscaping materials.
AVS will retain its brand identity and continue to operate separately under the direction of its managing director Stewart Pierce. Lawsons’ Simon Lawson Jeremy Norris and Paul Rushent will both join the AVS Holdings Limited Board

AVS founder, Ian Faires, said: “The values and ethos of both companies run in parallel and I had no hesitation in deciding that Simon and his team were the perfect fit going forward. I am very proud
of what we have all achieved at AVS during the past twenty-seven years and now is the right time for this move to take place.”

Simon Lawson said: “I am absolutely delighted with the acquisition which further demonstrates Lawsons commitment to expansion, growth and development as it looks forward to
a new and exciting decade.”

Stewart added: “With our majority shareholder and founder Ian Faires preparing to step down at year end, finding a new likeminded partner to assist and support our future was imperative. Having known Simon for many years it’s a perfect outcome for both businesses and we look forward to working with the Lawsons team.”
