Ahead of the August bank holiday, Cement manufacturer Lafarge Tarmac is offering DIYers the chance to get tips and tricks from an industry expert during a live Twitter Q&A.

Lafarge Tarmac to hold Twitter Q&A for DIYers

Dr Bill Price, the national commercial technical manager at Lafarge Tarmac Cement and BMJ blogger, will be online on @lovecement from 10am -12 noon on Thursday 21st August answering questions from anybody who has a burning DIY problem they can’t solve, as well as providing tips for finishing off a lingering or frustrating project.

Anybody wishing to submit a question in advance can do so by visiting www.diycement.com and filling in the short form. On the 21st, Twitter users can join in the discussion or post questions using #askdrbill.

Mike Lomax, marketing communications manager for cement at Lafarge Tarmac, said: “Bill Price is a hugely experienced construction and DIY expert and we’re excited to have him take part in this Q&A on 21st August.

“We know that lots of people gear up for DIY projects around bank holiday weekends and this is a great opportunity to get tips and advice from someone really in the know.”

Dr Bill Price, national commercial technical manager added: “I’d invite any and all DIYers to take part, no matter how straightforward or complicated the DIY question. Almost half of us give up and don’t see DIY tasks through to the end, so hopefully I’ll be able to help people finish what they’ve started!

“While I won’t be there in person to help lay the patio or build a BBQ, I’ll help from afar by providing some advice.”
