Lafarge renew WWF partnership

Building materials group Lafarge have renewed their partnership with the WWF for another four years.
In 2000, Lafarge was the first industrial player to become a WWF ‘Conservation Partner’ by signing a global partnership to work together on reducing the environmental footprint in the construction materials sector.

Key areas for focus include: reducing CO2 emissions, reducing persistent pollutant emissions, working on reducing water consumption, sustainable construction and increased bio-diversity.

The partnership has already worked on fauna and flora initiatives in Canada, surveillance of the Panda habitat in China, biodiversity awareness campaigns in Romania and Austria and development of biofuel projects in Kenya.
