KME Yorkshire announces significant investment

Copper tube specialist KME Yorkshire has announced a significant investment in a state-of-the-art heating system to save money and reduce the carbon footprint of its UK manufacturing plant.

The £160K system will increase heating efficiency by a minimum of 30%, reduce energy bills at the Kirkby based copper tube factory by more than £40k per year and decrease C02 by 335t.

Paul Smith, Plant Director at KME Yorkshire, said: “The new heating system will reduce our carbon footprint and provide us with significant cost benefits in the coming years.”
