Institute sets skills challenge

The Institute of Builders Merchants will hold its 2013 Practical Building Skills Challenge Event, at Cambridge Regional College on 29th October 2013.
The event, for teams of 4, will include activities to demonstrate skills in:

Carpentry

Brickwork

Paving

Painting

Simple electrics

within a set timescale.

Attendees will benefit from increased product knowledge, enhanced confidence with customers, improved sales and service capabilities, gained through practical experience of using some of the products they sell on a daily basis.

The element of competition between teams will also provide valuable team building skills.

Prizes will be awarded for the best build and all attendees will be awarded a FREE one year’s student membership of the Institute of Builders Merchants. The cost for the day including lunch will be £300 per team of 4.
