Institute plans trainee challenge day with BMF

The Institute of Builders Merchants are holding a Trainees Event Day in Birmingham in September, with the support of the Builders Merchants Federation.
The Institute TT Challenge, on September 18 at the National Motorcycle Museum, will give attendees a better understanding of the industry structure and how they can develop careers in the industry with the help of the right training.

The format for the day will be to start off with some brief presentations followed by teamwork challenges both indoors and outdoors. The idea is to allow trainees to meet like-minded people in their industry within a team-building environment.

The day costs just £38 per attendee, which Institute director Dave Saunders describes as “excellent value”. In addition, Student membership of the Institute is included within the application fee. “TT Challenge leaflets will be mailed out to merchants and suppliers throughout July,” Saunders continues. “We encourage early application to avoid disappointment.”

Funding for the event has been obtained from the Institute’s own Charitable Trust and the Builders Merchants Training Trust.

More details are available from the Institute offices on 01623 633228.
