Grant UK has appointed Lewis Barr its new Area Sales Manager for the South East of England. A familiar face for many installers and engineers, Barr has worked for Grant UK for over a decade in its Technical Department and in his new role, he will be providing sales and product support out in the field.
As the Area Sales Manager for the South East of England, Barr will be covering the counties of Hertfordshire, London, Surrey, Kent, West Sussex and East Sussex. In addition to providing sales support for installers and engineers in his area, Barr will also be working closely with merchants and helping customers improve the efficiency and sustainability of home heating systems.
Barr first joined Grant UK in 2011, working in the Quality Department as a Technical Returns Analyst. A few years later, he joined the Pre-Sales Technical Team and later was appointed a Technical Advisor, and in both these roles, Barr provided in-depth product support for pre-installation enquiries and after-care for installed products. More recently, Barr has been the Project Support Manager looking after larger renewable installation projects, supporting customers with technical support for air source heat pumps and Grant’s other renewables ranges. During his 11 years working with Grant UK, Barr has amassed extensive technical knowledge on all of Grant’s products, from their biofuel compatible oil-fired boilers through to their latest renewables offering.
As the Area Sales Manager for the South East of England, Barr will be on the road visiting merchant branches, installers and providing on-site support for all Grant products. Over the coming weeks and months, Barr will be visiting his local G1 Installers as well as arranging Breakfast Mornings and Trade events with merchants, delivering product training and helping customers develop their understanding of Grant’s sustainable heating solutions.
Lewis Barr said: “I am very excited to start this new chapter with Grant UK, joining the Sales Team and supporting our customers in a different capacity.”
“Over the years, I have seen the renewables industry grow and followed Grant’s own offering of air source heat pumps, hybrid technologies and ancillary products significantly developing as well. It is set to be an exciting time ahead for the heating sector and I am looking forward to working with installers, engineers, merchants and other customers, providing them with the tailored product support they need.”
